Cork Jointing (Type 3)

Harvested from the bark of a cork oak tree, cork is one of nature’s most extraordinary natural materials. One of its unique characteristics is its elasticity and compressibility making it a perfect joint filler for expansion joints in concrete.

Cork expansion joint filler is classified into two types, Type II (Type 2) and Type III (Type 3). Type II (T2) has a coarse granulated appearance and will not expand with moisture. Type III (T3) has a much finer granulation and will expand up to 40% of it original thickness with exposure to moisture.
