Megapoxy P1
$470.00
Megapoxy P1 is a two-component high-strength epoxy paste with a wide range of applications for civil engineering. It is easy to mix and apply and is free of VOC’s making it safe to use in structures that are in contact with potable water. Whilst P1 can be used to bond precast sections and steel to concrete, P1 is also suitable to protect reinforcing where concrete cover is insufficient. A 3mm layer of Megapoxy P1 provides protection to reinforcing steel equivalent to approximately 50mm concrete cover.

FAQs
epoxy grout more difficult to apply than traditional grout?
Applying epoxy grout presents unique challenges. Its distinctive consistency and faster curing time demand precise mixing and prompt application. The process, though demanding, can be managed effectively with the right tools and preparation. For those uncertain about the process, hiring a professional installer may be beneficial.
Is epoxy grout worth the money?
The upfront cost is higher. Yet epoxy grout proves itself a worthwhile investment due to its superior durability, low maintenance requirements, concrete waterproofing, and extended lifespan. These significant benefits lead to long-term savings. By reducing the need for repairs or replacements, epoxy tile grout emerges as a sound choice for both residential and commercial projects.
Does epoxy grout discolour over time?
Epoxy grout is highly resistant to discolouration thanks to its non-porous composition, which prevents stains and dirt from penetrating. Many epoxy grouts also contain UV-resistant properties, protecting against fading in sunlight. With proper installation and regular cleaning, epoxy grout maintains its original colour for years.
What is the lifespan of epoxy grout?
With proper installation and maintenance, epoxy grout can last 15 to 20 years or more. Its durability, resistance to cracking, staining, and discolouration all contribute to its exceptional long-term performance, making it a cost-effective choice over time.
Is epoxy grout waterproof?
Absolutely. Epoxy grout is 100% waterproof. Its impermeable nature is a barrier. It prevents water from penetrating the grout lines. This protects the substrate. It reduces the risk of mould and mildew growth.
Is epoxy grout better than regular grout?
Yes. Epoxy grout outperforms regular cement grout with superior durability, chemical resistance, and waterproofing. While costs are higher upfront, its reduced maintenance and longer lifespan make it a smart investment.
What are the advantages of epoxy grout over cement grout?
Epoxy grout offers several advantages over traditional cement grout:
- Durability:There is negligible shrinkage
- Chemical Resistance: Resistant to chemicals and stains, making it ideal for industrial settings or areas exposed to harsh substances.
- Waterproofing: Check product labels to determine water resistance qualities.
- Low Maintenance: Requires less upkeep due to its stain-resistant and non-porous nature.
Why is good quality epoxy grout important?
High-quality epoxy grout significantly boosts the durability and lifespan of tiled surfaces. Its robust chemical resistance acts as a shield. This remarkable material protects against harsh substances, while its superior bonding keeps tiles securely in place, dramatically reducing the likelihood of cracks or dislodgement. Epoxy grout stands firm. It withstands heavy traffic and mechanical stress without faltering, making it ideal for high-use areas. With exceptional stain resistance and low-maintenance requirements, it saves time and reduces repair costs. In short, epoxy grout is a valuable, long-term investment for any tiling project.
