Expansion Joints

Expansion joints are an integral part of any concrete pour; without them, concrete is likely to crack and fail. As concrete heats up it expands and as it cools it contracts. There are many different types of jointing materials with different applications but they all have one thing in common, a compressible material. An expansion joint absorbs this expansion and contraction, relieving pressure on the concrete. Expansion joints are installed at predetermined locations with the aim of encouraging the concrete to crack in straight lines on a weakened plane.

As a leading supplier of concrete supplies, Allcon stocks a range of cement expansion joints to ensure your projects are suitably reinforced below the surface. We carry a variety of bitumen and cork expansion joints, allowing us to recommend and provide the most suitable product for your business. Our offerings extend to other concreting solutions, including expansion foam and control joint materials.

Allcon understands the importance of a high quality product that is built to last. Our offerings are designed to underpin a range of concrete slabs, including residential homes, driveways, footpaths and office blocks. We take pride in only offering concrete joint expansion products from premium brands such as Connolly.
