Expose Retarder

Expose retarder is sprayed on to the surface of freshly placed concrete to retard the top layer of concrete slurry. Once the concrete has set sufficiently, the top layer of slurry is washed off revealing the aggregate below. Whilst predominately used for decorative applications, expose retarders are also used in precast applications to create a scabbled surface to enhance the bond of subsequent pours.
