R16 x 600mm Galvanised Dowel Bar

Dowel bars provide load transfer at construction joints between adjoining concrete pavements, preventing slab deflection while still allowing natural joint movement to occur.

All Allcon dowel bars are friction cut, never cropped. This distinction matters: cropping deforms the end of the bar, which restricts the free expansion and contraction the dowel is designed to permit — making cropped bars unsuitable for use as dowels.

Our dowel bars are manufactured and tested to AS/NZS 3679.1, and hot-dip galvanised and tested to AS/NZS 4680:2006, ensuring reliable performance and corrosion protection across the life of the pavement.
