100mm x 3.0m Connolly Expansion Joint System
$90.30
The 100mm Connolly expansion joint system is a continuous pour solution that allows you to set up expansion joints prior to pouring. The roll-formed galvanised steel section holds the pre-adhered expansion foam in place. Dowel sleeves and dowels can be clipped into position every 150mm and the joint can be adjusted to exact height using the patented peg and wedge system.
The 100mm system includes the following:
1 x 100mm x 3.0m Expansion Joint
9 x R12 x 300mm galvanised Dowel Bars
9 x 12mm x 150mm Green Dowel Sleeves
1 x Pack of 4 pegs and wedges.
The 100mm joint is unique in that it will only accept the 12mm sleeves, the standard universal dowel sleeves will not lock into this joint.

FAQs
What is the difference between standard expansion joints and Connolly Expansion Joints?
Unlike traditional timber or saw-cut joints, Connolly expansion joints offer a pre-engineered, galvanised steel system that maintains alignment and integrity throughout the pour. The Connolly expansion joint system includes dowel sleeves for load transfer and expansion foam for movement control—delivering a cleaner, more durable, and code-compliant joint.
What types of slabs are Connolly Expansion Keyjoints suitable for?
Connolly expansion joint systems are suitable for a wide variety of slab-on-ground applications, including industrial floors, commercial slabs, warehouse bases, residential driveways, and external pavements. The system adapts to different slab depths and reinforcement methods, offering a practical jointing solution across multiple sectors. To view compatible products and systems, visit our complete range of concrete materials.
How do Connolly Expansion Joints help with crack prevention?
Connolly expansion joints help isolate movement by allowing for thermal expansion and contraction within the slab. The integrated expansion foam absorbs stress, while the dowel sleeves ensure even load transfer between sections. This minimises the risk of uncontrolled cracking and promotes long-term structural integrity.
How does the Connolly system compare to timber formwork?
Connolly expansion joints eliminate the variability and labour-intensive setup associated with timber formwork. Manufactured under strict quality control, the system delivers a cleaner, more uniform joint finish while maintaining compliance with all relevant concrete jointing systems.
Can Connolly Expansion Joints be used for both small and large-scale projects?
Yes. The Connolly system is suitable for a broad range of residential and commercial applications—from driveways and footpaths to warehouses and industrial slabs. Its compatibility with various slab thicknesses and reinforcement methods makes it a versatile jointing solution across different project types.
Do Connolly Expansion Joints need to be filled with sealant?
No, Connolly expansion joints are supplied with pre-adhered expansion foam, which provides a consistent void for movement. While additional sealants are not typically required, a joint sealant may be applied in exposed or trafficked areas to protect against debris ingress or water penetration depending on project requirements.
What is the estimated delivery time for these Connolly Expansion Joints?
Allcon offers same-day delivery for Connolly expansion joints in Sydney and Melbourne metro areas. For all other locations, we provide same-day dispatch, ensuring fast and reliable Australia-wide delivery.
