Digging holes and moving material by hand is back-breaking work at the best of times, so a good quality shovel will only make the job easier. Post hole shovels feature a long timber or steel handle with a rounded blade for digging trenches and post holes. D-Handle shovels, often called concretors shovels, feature a shorter d-handle shovel with a square blade for shovelling sand, cement, gravel and concrete.
