Concrete Placement

Concreting is a tough game. Concreters have around 4-6 hours to place and finish concrete which is expected to last decades, which is why concrete placement equipment is so critical. Once the concrete lands on the ground it needs to be consolidated, screeded and then finished. Consolidation can be achieved by means of either external vibration (vibrating the formwork) or more commonly, internal vibration, immersing the vibrator in the concrete. Once the concrete has been consolidated, it needs to be screeded or “struck off” to the desired level. Whilst this is most commonly done by hand, the use of screeding equipment reduces labour, increase efficiency and often also assists with further consolidation.
