Primers & Bonding Agents

Priming concrete before applying repair products is critical to ensure a good bond. Concrete, especially old concrete, is very porous and wants to absorb whatever moisture is available. When applying a repair mortar to dry concrete, the moisture is sucked out of the mortar creating a weak bond and potentially compromising the integrity of the repair mortar. A primer seals and prepares the surface for the repair mortar ensuring a strong bond between the mortar and the concrete.
