The steel tape is double layered with nylon to provide exceptional abrasion and corrosion resistance increasing the usual tape life by over three times. The tape is housed in a robust double fastened housing with a comfortable rubber grip and a steel-reinforced crank handle for ultimate durablility. That is why the Keson NR series tape measures are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
