Expansion Caps

Expansion caps are used in movement joints to provide a void at the end of the dowel bar. Creating a void at the end of the dowel bar, prevents joint contraction from adversely affecting the surrounding joint. Expansion caps feature a series of fins inside to grip the dowel bar and a collapsible matrix in the end of the cap to provide a void for expansion.
