Whilst plain concrete is functional, adding a finish to it will not only make it look great but will often make the surface more durable and non slip. Colour hardeners are a great example of this; the application of colour hardener makes the surface 2-3 times more durable and when combined with a stipple or broom finish, results in a hard wearing, non slip finish. Stencil and stamp pattern concrete also use colour hardener along with additional products to create “Faux Brick” or Slate pattern. This is a great way to create a beautiful brick or slate finish without the head ache of moving pavers or weeds growing through the joints.
