Caulking Compound

Caulking compounds, also called joint sealant or mastic, are a flexible compound used to seal construction joints in buildings, pavements, tunnels, bridges, etc. The sealant prevents the ingress of water, dust, air, debris, chemicals, or anything that may compromise the joint. There is a wide range of caulking compounds, each with varying attributes such as movement capacity, elongation, chemical resistance, trafficability, colour, joint width, etc. Caulking compounds are generally supplied in a plastic cartridge or a foil sausage and are typically applied using a cartridge or caulking gun.
